BALLSTON LAKE, NY – After a successful first season in the Modified ranks, Mark Kislowski is looking forward to his sophomore season behind the wheel. The 42-year-old pilot is set to renew his chase for his first career win in the division at both Fonda and Utica-Rome Speedways in 2011.
Kislowski has two new 2011 Teo PRO Cars prepared with JPM big-blocks for competition weekly. He also has a 2009 Teo Pro Car with a 358 engine also furnished by JPM as his disposal. He’ll use this potent combination in weekly action once again at the Fonda Speedway on Saturday nights and then he’ll trek westbound on the Thruway for weekly competition at the Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, N.Y. He’ll use the small-block powerplant to enter some of the big money season ending shows at various speedways throughout the Northeast.
Kislowski is hoping the combination of top-notch equipment and his full year of experience in the Modified ranks will help him improve upon his 2010 season which saw him finish 13th in points at both facilities. His career best Modified finish at the Fonda Speedway is 4th while his best finish at Utica-Rome Speedway was 9th. He was honored as the Rookie of the Year in the Modified ranks at Fonda Speedway.
This season Kislowski would love nothing better than to find his way to Victory Lane at both facilities. He’s also hoping to improve upon those point finishes to the point where he can make his way into the top ten in overall points at both tracks.
Kislowski currently plans on following the entire Thunder on the Thruway Series which has dates at Fonda, Utica-Rome and the newly revamped I-88 Speedway in Afton, N.Y. The dates for the events include Sunday May 8, Thursday July 28, and Friday September 9 at Utica-Rome. Fonda has events on Tuesday July 26, Wednesday August 10, and the series finale on Sunday September 25. I-88 Speedway hosts two events on Tuesday June 28 and Tuesday August 30.
For those looking to get a sneak peek of the 2011 car they can make their way to the annual Fonda Speedway car show this weekend at the Rotterdam Square Mall as Kislowski’s car will be on display the entire weekend beginning March 18 and ending on Sunday March 20.
Kislowski sends out a special thanks to his family and crew for all of their support as well his sponsors for the 2011 season: Morris Auto Group including Morris-Ford Mercury and Terry’s Route 50 Super Lot, Schenectady Unit Parts (NAPA), Magsarus Ignitions, D.E.
